Relay Digest is an AI meeting intelligence platform. It captures recordings from a Plaud device or uploaded audio, transcribes them with OpenAI Whisper, and uses GPT-4o to automatically extract action items, identify people and entities, score meetings, and deliver a personalized Morning Brief every day. It is a hosted SaaS at relaydigest.com.

Solo users are fully supported. A single-user account is all you need. Many solo operators, consultants, freelancers, and individuals use Relay Digest purely for personal productivity — connect a Plaud device, recordings sync automatically, and you get a Morning Brief each morning. No team setup required.

No. Upload any audio file (MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, OGG, WebM, up to 25MB) directly from the Upload page. Zoom recordings, phone call recordings, voice memos, and any other audio all work. The Plaud integration is native and recommended for automatic sync, but it is not required.

The Morning Brief is a scheduled script that runs every morning (configurable: weekdays only or every day). It pulls the last 7 days of processed recordings, plus all open and overdue action items, sends everything to GPT-4o with a structured prompt, and delivers a formatted email with: a situation overview, top 3 priorities for the day, and overdue items flagged in red.

Each team member can receive either a personal brief (based on their own assigned action items) or the team-wide brief. It can also be pushed to a Slack channel via webhook.

Yes. The Action Items page has a quick-add form for manual tasks. Set a description, assignee, due date, and category. Manual items appear alongside AI-extracted meeting items on the Kanban board and in the Morning Brief. Inline editing, one-click due-date shortcuts (Today / Tomorrow / +7 days), and category filters all apply to both types.

Connect your Plaud session token in Settings → Integrations. Relay Digest syncs your Plaud recordings automatically every 30 minutes, or you can trigger sync on demand. No Plaud developer account or separate API key required — the same session token you use on the Plaud web app is sufficient. Speaker identification uses Plaud's voice embeddings to attribute transcript lines to the right person.

Ask Relay is natural language Q&A across your entire recording history. Type questions like "What did we decide about the Q3 roadmap?" or "What has [person] committed to this month?" Relay Digest uses vector embeddings (OpenAI text-embedding-3-small) for semantic search across all transcripts, then GPT-4o synthesizes a cited, sourced answer.

An interactive visual knowledge graph of every person, company, topic, and place extracted from your recordings. Node size reflects frequency of mention. Click any node to see all related recordings, connected entities, and interaction history. Filter by time range (7 days, 30 days, 90 days). Useful for understanding patterns and relationships across many meetings.

Set manager-report relationships in Settings → Members & Roles. Hierarchy can be any depth — CEO → VP → Director → Manager → IC, or any structure your org uses. Managers get a "My Team" tab on the Action Items page showing all direct reports' open tasks in one view. Four roles: owner (billing admin), admin (settings), manager (team task view), member (standard).

Yes. Per-recording visibility controls (private / restricted / shared). Private recordings are hidden from all team members including admins. Sensitivity tiers and per-user folder allowlists are available. Data is stored on Hetzner EU servers. Your recordings and transcripts are never used to train AI models (governed by Anthropic and OpenAI API terms).

No. Relay Digest does not use a meeting bot. There is nothing to admit to a meeting room, no calendar integration required, and no Zoom/Meet/Teams app to install. Recordings come from your Plaud device or uploaded audio files — fully async and private.

Transcription: OpenAI Whisper. Analysis, extraction, and generation: GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini. Embeddings for semantic search: OpenAI text-embedding-3-small. Claude (Anthropic) is also used for select generation tasks. Teams can supply their own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys if preferred.

Also useful for finding specific commitments, decisions, or conversations about a topic across months of recordings.

Yes. Each client can be an entity in the Wiki with its own page linking to every related recording, action item, and person. Projects provide isolated workspaces with their own access controls. Pre-meeting briefs pull prior context from all recordings involving that client before every call. Share links let you send a password-protected read-only recording summary directly to a client.

Relay Mine lets you paste any freeform notes, braindump, or unstructured text. AI categorizes the content by signal type (idea, decision, risk, question) and signal level (high, medium, low). It is useful for processing raw notes or thoughts that were not recorded as audio.

Yes. Configure a Slack webhook URL in team settings and the Morning Brief is pushed to your Slack channel every morning. Outbound webhooks can also fire real-time events to Slack, Linear, Notion, Zapier, or any custom endpoint when recordings are processed or action items are created.
