No. Relay Digest works with or without a Plaud device. You can upload audio files directly — MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, OGG, WebM up to 25MB. Upload Zoom recordings, phone calls, or any audio. The Plaud integration is a bonus, not a requirement.
Connect your Plaud API token in Settings. From the dashboard, sync a single recording, a batch, or all of today's recordings in one click. Relay uses Plaud's voice embeddings to identify speakers and automatically pulls transcripts and metadata. Duplicate recordings are detected and skipped.
Relay uses OpenAI Whisper for audio transcription, GPT-4o for the Morning Brief, Ask Relay, pre-meeting briefs, and the Worry Report, and GPT-4o-mini for classification tasks like action item extraction, entity tagging, and relationship mapping. Teams can optionally supply their own OpenAI API key.
